What Do Nujabes Use To Make Beats?
Nujabes is one of the greatest and most influential hip hop producers of all time. Coming from Tokyo, Japan. he helped revolutionize the sound of hip hop with pioneering lofi hip hop and chill hop in hip hop. The centerpiece of Nujabes production setup was the MPC 2500. You can see him in this picture using the MPC 2500. This is still one of the most popular and community supported MPCs right now. The nest drum machine that Nujabes used is the MPC 2000xl. On the Sound and Recording Interview in the 2003 You can see them listing it in his equipment. This drum machine has been coveted since it released in the late 90s and early 2000s. Nujabes also used the the AKAI s950 Sampler. You can see it in his studio here. This sampler is like the unofficial sidekick to the MPC and helped to craft some of the greatest records of all time. Nujabes keyboard of choice was the Roland A-80. You can see It in this picture of his studio. Last but not least is his rack mount Roland JP-8080 synthesizer. Nujabes have produced some of the most critically acclaimed hip hop instrumentals of all time and helped pioneer the Lofi music genre today. He’s gone on to inspire a lot of artists and producers including Logic and Joey Bada$$.
