Lacey Assistant Manager Shannon Kelley-Fong presented to the city council the City of Lacey Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Strategic Plan draft.
Included in the presentation were sticky notes on which the city council members wrote one idea per sticky note and map out concepts for the plan.
On one of the notes “Avoid white voice in message” was written.
This appeared to be later interpreted as: “Don’t be overly technical, plain talk”
September 4th the Lacey City Council will meet again to consider adopting this plan.
