I have been in a Vincent Van Gogh state of mind lately, reflecting and looking at his work in the studio. Here is a quick one-hour study of Van Gogh Irises, enjoy!---"The motions of mark-making is as much about the inquiry as it is about the euphoria of dealing with the immaterial. Likewise, the harmony of such endeavor is strongly tied to the human spirit."Join me every Sunday as I dedicate one studio session a week to express myself using art as a form of authentic expression, abstraction, and fun! My artwork combines aspects of drawing, painting, collage and printmaking, all integrated. My large-scaled canvases illustrate my ongoing interest in painting and mark-making while extending my personal lexicon to a wide range of references, including Egyptian art, Arabic symbolism and European modernist painting. However, to get to a finished work takes countless studio hours and it is a process full of meaningful intention.
