My artwork combines aspects of drawing, painting, collage and printmaking, all integrated. My large-scaled canvases illustrate my ongoing interest in painting and mark-making while extending my personal lexicon to a wide range of references, including Egyptian art, Arabic symbolism and European modernist painting. However, to get to a finished work takes countless studio hours and it is a process full of meaningful intention. I am sure many of you can relate.
