My artwork combines aspects of drawing, painting, collage and printmaking, all integrated. My large-scaled canvases illustrate my ongoing interest in painting and mark-making while extending my personal lexicon to a wide range of references, including Egyptian art, Arabic symbolism and European modernist painting. However, to get to a finished work takes countless studio hours and it is a process full of meaningful intention. I am sure many of you can relate.
The weekly "express yourself" art video is to celebrate the artistic journey and the development of each of our own unique artistic styles through the experience of making. I hope you will paint with me!
