Ok, bear with me, this one has a story. It was designed to play off a typical conflict and for some reason the heat death of the universe kept coming to mind. But, that's a bit grim. So I tried to scale it back a bit, which brings me to the idea of that liminal space around a cyberpunk megalopolis; it's not going to be lush greenery and Windows 11 backgrounds. It's going to be desolate. And when the future cities fail and the AI takes over, well, we're doomed. Enjoy!
Influences? Dan Simmons' Hyperion Cantos kept popping into my head whilst writing it, and now The Shrike haunts my dreams...again

Thanks for listening. Pixel Vybes create electronic music. We use YouTube for our soundscapes and ambient pieces. Spotify, Deezer, iTunes, Apple Music etc. also have some of these longer compositions, but we mostly upload our shorter form tracks there. We are slowly getting through our back catalogue of tunes from the last couple of decades, remixing and remastering as we go.
We produce mostly ambient, drum and bass, synthwave, lofi and hybrid electronic / orchestral. So feel free to check out our channels. We hope you enjoy our work. The reason we created these soundscapes was primarily just for fun; to try and create background music that sets the scene, but doesn't interfere too much. Alas, I think we've failed on the second point a number of times. The problem we have with ambient music is that we can't help but drop some heavy synth stabs, tearing arpeggios, cinematic braams or deep bone-shaking bass pads into the mix. It takes the composition away from our original intentions, and breaks the relaxation spell. So, there are more relaxing pieces interspresed with the sci-fi / futuristic / cyberpunk pieces. These should be safe enough to put your headphones in, close your eyes and fall asleep.
We are actively seeking commissions for soundtrack work, mostly for video games and visual novels.
Music on this channel is copyrighted, but we'd be happy for you to use it if you'd like to. Just please get in touch first. Visuals made using Midjourney.
