Horrifically Injured, Emaciated,& Eaten By Maggots recovery
Everyday we walk the streets in India and come across some of the most horrifically injured pups and it breaks our heart.
Snowy was one of those pups we found. He was found covered in maggots, severely emaciated, weak, and with possible nerve damage. This poor boy was running around non-stop due to the irritation caused by the flesh eating maggots. It took our volunteers 3 hours to catch him.
We are often never sure how these pups injuries are caused and most times they have been suffering for a while. We suspect he may be a distemper survivor as well as had been attacked by other dogs in the past. The pain he was suffering was unimaginable. Sweet Snowy is fairly young and to imagine that this is what life had to throw at him so early on is heart-breaking. The good news is he is in our care now and will be getting treated for all of his wounds and medical needs.
It is hard to fathom how anyone could walk by this boy and leave him there to suffer but now, he is with us and we are going to do whatever it takes. With your help we can provide Snowy with a healthier and happier life, thank you!
