Hi there!
We're finally back with another mask! Today, I'll show you how to make the Skull Merchant Mask from Dead by Daylight.

As always, a little ramble about the process:
The most challenging part of this mask was the texture. I understand that the images from the game should look like the metal of the mask was hit with something to make the shape. And I'm sure there is a formal word for that lol.
I have made something like this years ago in a shop class, where I formed a metal sheet into a little bowl, so that's what the image reminded me of.

Of course I could have just painted the texture on and called it a day. But that's not how we do things here :D
So, I experimented with our trusty cardboard clay, trying to recreate the texture by hand but ultimately giving up. It could have been so easy, though, because working with a straw was the very last bullet point on my list of ideas T__T

This was the first mask I finished after my unintentional break, so I'm extra happy to finally see a finished project again!
And I've already got another mask on the table, let's hope I can finish this one just as well :D
