In this video, we are reviewing some of the new 'dynamic' looking features of the tank. In this iteration of the armature, fundamental drivers, constraints, and relationships have been updated to more accurately replicate the functionality of the real tank (We've redesigned the entire set-up). In terms of animation though, the movement remains mostly unchanged when compared to previous versions.
Perhaps what is most significant, is the implementation of the shooting and recoil control. Although the Churchill CDL (Canal Defense Light) features a mock gun, we can see how the recoil of a 'shot' would impact the tank and propagate throughout the suspension. You can also exaggerate this effect, or perhaps constrain it to something more realistic (you can even key-frame a sequence of shots). Should you have any questions or concerns, please let me know your thoughts below!
Thank you so much for taking time to watch my video, and stay tuned for more!
