Bypass Factor of Heating or Cooling coil
This video describes the concept of #bypass factor of heat exchanger coil which may be #heating_coil or #cooling_coil.
There is explanation on how bypass of air occurs and we derive equation of bypass factor from energy balance.
Bypass factor depends on following factors:
1. Number of rows of cooling coil
2. Density of fins
3. Turbulence
4. Air velocity
5. Direction of air flow
The formula for bypass factor is easy to remember discussed in this particular session.
