Vapour compression cycle is most popular and widely used refrigeration cycle. It has many applications. Theoretical VCR cycle is well known to us.
It is interesting to find the actual working of VCR cycle which consists effect of compression and other actual parameters which diverts the actual cycle from theoretical one in many ways.
This video is on the processes involved in actual VCR cycle and the cycle is discussed on T-s chart for better understanding.
The processes involved in theoretical VCR cycle are:
1. Compression
2. Condensation
3. Expansion or throttling
4. Evaporation
The actual cycle involves polytropic compression where as theoretically we assume the compression to be isentropic.
