In this video, I talk about one of my Home Assistant automations: Guest Mode.

Guest Mode is a switch, when activated, alters the behaviour of some of my automations.

For example, when there is nobody home, the lights in the house will operation in a pseudo random fashion to simulate occupancy. If I'm not home, but another extended family member is, for example, I don't want the lights turning on and off by themselves! This automation will now check for Guest Mode before it turns on.
