In this episode of "Ask Dr. Wolle," the academic director of the DDR Museum discusses the history of the Palace of the Republic—from its construction to its demolition. The central element of this video is the largest and most detailed model of the Palace of the Republic currently on display at the DDR Museum, which has been exhibited since October 7, 2023. At a scale of 1:125 (200 cm x 130 cm), the model is presented on a base made from original Palace materials. The model is complemented by display cases containing numerous objects that explore the history of the site, including debates, controversies, its closure, and its eventual demolition.
