Variations of Poinsettia by Larry Hatch
A gallery with my comments on modern Euphorbia pulcherrima or Poinsettia cultivars in both basic and specialty colors. Thanks to Dr. Dole and his North Carolina State University National Poinsettia Trials for access to these fine plants. Every December they display 80-100 different cultivars and give ordinary visitors to the Raulston Arboretum a chance to vote for their favorites and give feedback to breeders on unnamed, numbered hybrids. This is a first-class horticultural experience in terms of display, public-university-industry cross communication, and providing a living, buyer's guide on elite holiday plants.Well done NC State!
