In the latest edition of The Impact Room, Michelle Ansell of Douglas Jackson, Recruitment Consultants and Executive Search firm welcoms Marco Carrubba, Director of Customer Success UiPath, Marco has a rich background in both the corporate world and the startup scene, as a Global Customer Success Director, Marco has worked with leading brands and logos including Vodafone, VMWare and Microsoft as well as his present role at UiPath.

Marco is also a NED and advocate for Diversity, an ally for female leadership as well as Neurodivergence.

We talk about some of the key differences in leadership and customer success strategies between large global corporates vs start up and these two environments as we speak with many leaders who perhaps work for a large corporate yet are attracted to a smaller, scaling organisation, given the differences, what do you think future leaders need to understand to have a successful transition into a faster growth or entrepreneurial business?

As a leader, how you prioritise architecting team culture and hiring to ensure success for both the business and its customers. Why do you think this is such a tricky concept when looking at so many tech organisations?

Technology is constantly advancing our lives and business opportunities and our customers are continually evolving, but for many by the time they consider or achieve, what they call ‘transformation’ they are already behind the curve, how do you stay ahead of trends in customer success and ensure your strategies are responsive to industry-specific challenges?

Given your observation that not every company fully grasps the value of customer success, what do you think the future holds for this field?

As a representative for DEI and an ally for under represented women and other groups, would you like to talk about why you feel that this is important and perhaps how you feel customer success and the tech community, which falling into the STEM community has seen difficulties attracting more diverse talent.

We hope you enjoy the session.
