The Pride Lands are calling again, but the circle of life is about to face its toughest test! 🦁🌅
I’ve been back in the lab dreaming up how the story of Kiara and Kovu would translate into the live-action style. I’ve always felt Simba’s Pride had some of the best drama in the Disney sequel catalog, so I wanted to see if I could capture that tension between Simba and the Outsiders in a grounded, cinematic way.
In my "Legacy of the Outsiders" concept, I’m exploring the bond between Kiara and Kovu as something that doesn't just challenge Simba’s rules—it challenges his legacy. I got deep into the edit to re-cook these fragments into a roarin' new vision for the pride!
🧊 INSIDE THE LAB 🧊
My Pitch: This is a cinematic "what-if" exploring how a live-action Simba’s Pride could bridge the gap between the 2019 film and the future of the franchise.
The Yeti’s Edit: I’ve re-contextualized nature cinematography and film fragments with custom visual effects and a sweeping new soundscape to build this pitch from the ground up.
Den Commentary: Every scene choice is scripted to highlight the redemption arc of the Outsiders, which is a lost chapter I’d love to see on the big screen!
