Iyadat K Fazail O Adaab | Etiquettes Visiting the Sick And Virtues
#adaab #islam #quran
Here is a simple and clear English description of Etiquettes (Adaab) and Virtues (Fazail) of Visiting the Sick (Iyadat):

Etiquettes (Adaab) of Visiting the Sick

Keep your intention pure
Visit the sick only to please Allah, to comfort the patient, and to show care — not for formality or show.

Choose a suitable time
Visit at a time that is convenient for the patient and their family. Avoid rest hours or medical check-up times.

Keep the visit short
Do not stay too long. A short visit that brings comfort is better than a long visit that tires the patient.

Speak gently and positively
Give hope, encouragement, and uplifting words. Avoid frightening or stressful conversations.

Offer prayers and good wishes
Pray for the patient’s quick recovery and remind them, gently, about patience and Allah’s mercy.

Seek permission
Enter with permission, greet with Salam, and leave politely with dua.

Avoid unnecessary talking or loudness
Do not disturb the patient with loud talking, gossip, or long discussions.

Virtues (Fazail) of Visiting the Sick

It earns the pleasure of Allah
A famous hadith states that Allah says:
“When you visited the sick, you would have found Me with him.”
This shows the closeness to Allah gained through iyadat.

Angels pray for the visitor
According to a hadith, if someone visits a sick person in the morning, 70,000 angels pray for him until evening, and if in the evening, until morning.

A path to Paradise
Visiting the sick is among the acts that increase a believer’s chances of entering Jannah.

Strengthens love and unity
It builds compassion, brotherhood, and social harmony among Muslims.

Brings forgiveness and reward
Helping and comforting someone in hardship softens the heart, and Allah forgives many sins through such acts..
