GRT participates in Austrade Mission
India is of critical importance to us, it was our first international expansion and the sheer size and scope of the economy and culture there creates a massive opportunity for us in terms of number of kilometres, need for our technology.
We’re working in two main regions – Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra – collectively they have over more than 300 million people. We’re dealing with hundreds of kilometres there in terms of highways and this creates a significant economic opportunity for us.
We’ve been in India for over two years now but we believe we’ve put in the right amount of time, planning and preparation in order to succeed there and we’re ready to reap the benefits of the preparation we’ve put in.
No matter where you are internationally we believe it’s very important to partner up with local companies and local people who are familiar with the economy and some of the challenges I mentioned earlier. That would be our first step and we’ve done that.
