EN - Distributing milk at school became popular when the Netherlands was unable to fulfill its dairy export because of the crisis and had a huge surplus. The Crisis Dairy Office started distributing milk to school-age children in poor neighborhoods and then continued the delivery of "school milk" to children in all schools. Fifteen minutes were set aside each day to consume the rich whole milk.
NL - Het uitdelen van melk op school werd populair toen Nederland door de crisis niet aan zijn zuivelexport kon voldoen en een enorm overschot had. Het Crisis Dairy Office begon met het uitdelen van melk aan schoolgaande kinderen in arme buurten en zette vervolgens de levering van "schoolmelk" aan kinderen in alle scholen voort. Elke dag werd een kwartier gereserveerd om de volle melk te consumeren.
