EN - In IJmuiden fried herring is canned for the Dutch soldiers in Indonesia. The video shows the advantages of mechanical processing of the herring over manual processing: the hourly production is much higher (2500 pieces against 200 pieces) and, because the hands are not affected by the sharp bones, people can work all day long.
