Giant Garage Scorpion
While cleaning out a corner of my garage I came across this large scorpion and so, naturally, I grabbed my camera and captured it on video! This is the largest scorpion I've ever encountered on my property. While out hiking in the desert I've come across a couple slightly larger specimens, but this one was in my garage! A neighbor says she found one in a drawer containing clothing a couple years ago. That would not be a pleasant surprise! Even worse would be having one crawl on you while you're sleeping at night! Obviously being stung would be worse yet! Neat creatures, but not nice to have around.
FUN FACT: Scorpions glow brightly under UV light (black light).
