The first post-release patch for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is here, it came out a couple days ago, and we’re going to check it out here.

This May 1st update brings the game a much needed CPU and Rasterization Performance improvement, which can be easily noticed when running the game at resolutions and settings where we were previously getting big CPU bottlenecks.
There’s still one major exception to that and it’s the fact that Ray Tracing Performance hasn’t improve much in this update, therefore even though Ray Tracing does have some impact on CPU performance, it also has a big one on our GPU.
I guess we will have to wait for upcoming patches to see if the Ray Tracing performance gets any improvements or tweaks: at the very least, I hope they add some tuning options to RT, because just having an ON/OFF toggle feels pretty lackluster.
All in all…an alright update, considering how little time since the game’s release it’s been.
