To the north of Extremadura, between Garrovillas and Navas del Madroño, close to the border with Portugal, there was a unique stone pine forest, unique in this entire region. One day in 1998, in the middle of autumn, Pedro Pizarro, with his rope on his shoulder, went to the pine forest for a few days to pluck the fruit from the trees. With my camera I accompanied him during his work.
