The ball and beam system is one of the classic problems of control engineering, being widely used as a laboratory model, as it is simple to understand as a system, allowing the study of the methods of classic and modern control projects. Numerical simulations in MATLAB are performed using a linearized model of the ball and beam nonlinear system.
