The LQG (Linear Quadratic Gaussian) controller, also known as dynamic compensator, consists of the fusion between the Kalman filter and the LQR (Linear Quadratic Regulator). The LQG control has numerous successful practical implementations, whether simple or complex dynamics. Numerical simulations in MATLAB are performed using a linearized model of the ball and beam nonlinear system.
