KSAMIL & BUTRINT, ALBANIA | Catching The Local Bus From Saranda
Join me as we spend the day exploring Butrint National Park and the beach clubs in Ksamil.
We started the day by catching the local bus from Saranda to Butrint National Park, which took around 40 minuets and was only 200 LEK or 2 Euros. At this ancient town, there were lots of ruins and archilogical sites from both ancient Greek and Roman times. This included a theatre, Roman bath, baptistery and Venetian castle, along with great scenic views of the land.
Upon completing the tour around the park, we then made our way over to Ksamil, using the same bus that would be returning to Saranda. Poda Beach Bar was where we then set up for the rest of the day, hiring out sun-beds at 10 Euros each.
After dosing up on cocktails, spending time in the sea and eating some lush food at a near by restaurant, we then entered in to Bianco, a new and upcoming beach club, with a rooftop bar, which we had made a reservation at. From here we caught the last on the sunset over the bay, whilst enjoy the live entertainment from the in-house DJ.
