Visiting PORTLAND & WEYMOUTH | DORSET (Solo Travel Vlog) 4K
Join me as I tour around Dorsets stunning island of Portland and main coastal town Weymouth.
I start my journey off at the very impressive Portland Bill Lighthouse. Here you can take a visit up the lighthouse where you can get some impressive sea views. There is also a little cafe called the Lobster Pot. Here I had a very yummy prawn sandwich.
Along the coast from the lighthouse is Church Ope Cove, where you will find a stunning woodlands trail that leads you down to a stone based beach, after coming across the ruins of Rufus Castle.
St George's Church was next on the list to visit. This church is very unique and stands out instantly from the road side, with its amazing Georgian architecture. The inside is very beautiful too and is very different in style to any other church I have seen so far.
After a quick trip to see the Olympic Rings that overlook the marina, it was time to make my way into the heart of Weymouth with a visit to the seafront. Here you have the harbour area which is made up of lots of quirky places to eat, drink and shop. Along the main sea front is also the iconic Queen Victoria Jubilee Clock which is not be missed.
