A brief history of 'Chris Prod Industries', That other Model Aircraft Company from Wakefield, MA
Now Defunct, Chris-Prod Industries emerged in 1991 as a 'cottage industry' balsa flying model airplane company unique to the hobby as it offered groundbreaking multi-Prop profile style flying models which utilized pulleys and belts. Initially there were three kits offered. The Junkers JU-52, Cant. z1007 'Alcione', and Avro Lancaster. The lineup soon grew to include 3 more kits - the Dornier Do 335, Ford Tri-Motor, and Mitsubishi Ki-46. These were shipped all over the world. In 1992 a 31" wingspan full-bodied (not profile) Junkers Ju-52 appeared, this time utilizing a spiral spring to transmit rubber power to the two wing engine nacelles. The rubber motors for the wing engines were installed internally within the wing's length.
