Paul Selig: Channelling is not special, but it is sacred

When you were a lad with growing up in Manhattan, Were there ever any kind of signs or indicators in your, you know, in you and your personality that you would have this amazing ability to be such a incredible channel.
There were a few experiences as a child, not so much that I would have ever thought to call myself psychic. But they were psychic experiences. When I was maybe five, four or five, I think my brother was in a crib in the room, so he's two years younger. So that would make probably five or under if it would have been in a crib, still, within less perhaps, I had an experience of being hovering over the bed to my side that I think I thought was an angel. And I'm not like an angel, kind of person. But I think that's how I described it. And all I remembered was because my head was on the pillow and I was turned to the side to see it was the brocade, the fabric on what was being worn, which was heavily embroidered in gold and glowing. And the next thing I remember, I don't remember who was talking to me, I know that there was a conversation. I don't recall what was being said, mostly, I think I was listening. And the next thing I knew I was watching the whole thing from the ceiling, which is the only out of body experience I've had, I was looking down at my body in the bed with this being over me. And so that was important to me important enough that I told people about it at the time. And when I was not I was maybe nine, which was a very difficult year for me. I had a very odd dream about walking up a flight of stone stairs to a mountain that was shaped like a sort of a Coptic cross I now know, that was covered in us it was full of fall leaves and surrounded the flagstone path that I walked with was also covered with leaves was a fall image. And it was remarkably bright and vivid. And when I didn't forget it, when I was about 13, my family was driving through Vermont, and I started having deja vu. And then I saw the stairs and the fountain. And it was at Goddard College, which I ended up teaching that for 18 years later in my life. They invited me to teach out of the blue, I got to apply for a job there. And, and I took it. And that was incredibly important for me. Because during those years, I was opening up as a channel on the psychic. And the life that I thought I was supposed to have was sort of falling away. And that was very, very hard. But there was some sense that I was where I was supposed to be because I was in this place that I had dreamt about. And in fact, I don't I know for a fact that the books wouldn't have come had I not been there, you know that so and you know, and then grieving my best friend's father's death. You know, things like that happen. But you know, it wasn't my every day, I wasn't walking around saying I see dead people. I still don't you know, I had free will. But that's not who I am or who I was.
Your individuality is just a slightly different vibration to that what we consider to be MIT spirit mediums. I mean, because you've described yourself as a medium for the living as well. Haven't you and the other aspect of your work?
Yeah, I mean, that's fun for me, I do a lot of that. That's, you know, I do that in my workshops. I do that in my my privates. But, you know, I, um, yeah, you know, if somebody still has a body, even if they're like in a coma or locked in or something, I'm usually able to access them and hear for them. And I have a pretty good track record of that. And accuracy. It's, it's, I just call it stepping in. So I think of myself finally as a radio. So when I'm channelling that's the radio station, I'm tuned into and if I'm rooting for you, I would tune into you by your name and become you and then start to hear for you. And then if you ask about your brother or your sister, I with their name, I can just step right into them. And I can often sort of broker a conversation at the higher level and I don't know how that works. But it seems that if somebody has a body, I'm fine. It seems like if there these lofty sort of guides were there to teach, they're accessible and it's not that people that are crossed don't come through they do on occasion. But that's not what I think my primary work is.
