Physicist and AI researcher Ian Jamieson talks about quantum physics and the basics of how how it fits with our perception of reality.

The scientists Ian refers to early in the conversation are as follows: David Bohm, Stanislav Grof,
Karl Pribram, Alfred North Whitehead, Douglas Hofstadter and Juan Maceda.

We are part of the hole where the becoming of the universe lovely moment as an exercise for everyone to do, lie on the bed at night, in the dark, and realise that there is only the now only the moment that the past and future, when you're thinking about them only exist in the moment, there's only the moment, lie there in the dark and think about that. There's only the now. And then if you do it for long enough, what will happen is you will disappear. Because if there's only the now you can, you're only, you'll find that eventually, there is no ego, the ego will disappear. And they'll only be the experience of everything else. That's what Satorious that's what happens. Try it. And you might just Just remember, the one thing to remember, there's no past, the only thing that creates past is our memory. Just think of yourself as an entity with no memory. Because you really your memories just made up. Most of it is baggage. It's Alan Watts who just sit there in the glider in the dark. And this is how this happened to me as well, another time. And eventually, you will realise you're just everything else. When we last spoke, you said that you were working on a book yourself? Yeah. I keep finding new ideas to incorporate in it is putting together my own experience of Satori. So from what's you know, some people describe a spiritual thing. But you know, a lot of Zen Buddhists don't consider it spiritual. They consider it it just is. So I had an experience and as a physicist, and I've been working, you know, berms ideas, and I know Stan Grof stance of graph was Khalid, Allah tropic theory, I've met carb problem is the neuroscientists who came at the holonomic theorem, have a theory of, of conscious of mind, where everything's stored as a hologram in the brain, which I believe is true, and there's a lot of evidence for it. And then bone and they all work together as ghosts and they've known all of them and spoken to all of them. And so my experience that I had was, you know, in line with that, but as a as a, as a as a physicist you want to put something you want to get some explanation for things, of course, that's what physicists do. We're always trying to figure out why you have these experiences. And, you know, what does it say about the universe. And so I've tried to focus on coming up with with using some of whiteheads ideas, some of the firm's ideas, some of diverse hospitals, ideas, graphs for Abrams, tried to put it all together. And the latest, the latest theories on black holes and the latest theories on the one mile cedars, anti de Sitter conformal field theory, which comes out of string theory, by the way, time disappears in one of the explanations of the universe, but it's there another in the classical, but in the quantum, it doesn't exist.
