The Dry Studio Black Diamond 75 Sounds AMAZING with NO MODS
Thank you to Dry Studio and Angry Miao for sending this sample for my review. I think this keyboard is excellent. The out of box typing experience is one of the absolute best I've experienced in nearly a decade of experience in the hobby and literally hundreds of prebuilt keyboards tested. You can tell that the Black Diamond 75 was built by people who know what makes a great mechanical keyboard. The switches are smooth, typing experience crisp but not harsh, and very lively and reactive to your keystrokes. And it sounds GREAT with no mods required.
The switches are fast and have a learning curve, so be ready for that (at least on this model, the Mithril version uses different switches). But with a 1mm actuation point, they are faster than competing switches and should give an edge in games.
The look of the keyboard is also very unique. It's inspired by a Lamborghini Aventador and you can definitely see that in its shape. But I love the see-through acrylic and carbon fiber. There are layers of foam and silicone throughout to hone its sound.
Overall, this is an excellent keyboard intended to sell for around $300. It's essentially a really unique custom that's been built and tuned for you. It's honestly pretty killer, especially with the 2.4GHz wireless and big 5,000 mAh battery.
