Mini-Review:
The Chillkey Paw65 is an affordable, entry-level custom keyboard kit from a brand new company. The team worked with the Meletrix/Wuque to bring this board to life and the design definitely shows with the gasket strip mounting design, similar switches to WS Morandis, foam kit, and overall sound and feel of the keyboard. That's a fantastic thing because you get a lot of similar qualities to those more expensive keyboards for less.
The stock design is cutesy, with colorful translucent keycaps and optional RGB cat ears that fit on the top. Look beyond that, though, and you have a really interesting two-tone case design that I think looks really good no matter which of the three colors you go with. My sample (sent by Chillkey) was Wild Rose, which is white and red. I replaced the keycaps with a GMK Yuri clone and honestly love how it looks.
This is a keyboard that requires no modding at all. It was well-tuned and ready to go out of the box. If you change keycaps, that's one thing, but the switches and stabilizers were very good stock.
I consider this a very worthwhile pick-up at $99.99 and would recommend buying pre-assembled just to get a deal on a good set of long-pole switches. If you have your own, you can save $20 and get an even better one, but you don't have to.
