Jennifer Lopez has had to cancel some concerts, and videos of her singing to completely empty stadiums have been circulating online.
Her new album, This Is Me…Now, debuted at #39 on the Billboard charts, a far cry from the numbers it achieved in the first decade of the 2000s.

What's going on?
We're probably witnessing the fall of a star.

The fragile house of cards on which J-Lo had apparently built her entire career hasn't stood up to modern times.
Modern times in which the internet population wants to see authenticity, wants to see stories of resilience to learn from.
Against all this, J-Lo presents her film This Is Me…Non: A Love Story, in which she essentially tells her love story with Ben Affleck, hoping to offer us something unique: spoiler alert, it's a story like so many others.
But it doesn't end there, because this simple self-celebration has opened a Pandora's box, casting doubt not only on J-Lo's abilities as a singer, but also on her origins: she based her career on the American dream, a girl from the Bronx who managed to emerge, to make it in this white society.
Apparently, that's not true either.
Jennifer Lopez is one of the world's most beloved stars, but she has recently been accused of exaggerating or even lying about her past. We'll begin with a brief introduction to J.Lo's extraordinary career as a singer, actress, and entrepreneur. We'll then review her statements about her Bronx roots and how this has influenced her career. Next, we'll examine when and how the accusations surrounding her Bronx-based statements began.

What do you think of this controversy? Do you think Jennifer Lopez's image as a Bronx girl is genuine or fabricated?

👥 I didn't do it all alone, so I'd like to thank these wonderful people for adding details to my videos:
