Dr. Stephen Pruett is a Professor in the College of Veterinary Medicine, as well as Director of NIH Center of Biomedical Research Excellence, both at the University of Mississippi State University.

Dr. Pruett discusses how alcohol affects the immune system, including dose dependence and heterogeneity of impact across components of the immune system. Dr. Pruett also talks about practical issues that are sometimes overlooked or misunderstood, but which are important for immunological studies of alcohol and other substances, as well as drinking and vaccinations. He also has some interesting discussion about the scientific method.
