Basic Afrikaans Words and Phrases
For some of us going on holiday isn’t just about packing our suitcase, it’s also about learning some words and phrases to help us better understand the culture of the country we’re visiting. This has helped me get a much warmer reception and, I also know of people who’ve gotten discounts on hotels, and food and drink just by making the effort to learn a few words and phrases in a new language. So really what could be better than that, and what's stopping us?
So in today’s video I'm going to be giving you 25 basic Afrikaans words and phrases for visiting South Africa for the first time. This is useful vocab for visiting South Africa. They are common Afrikaans phrases, like how to say thank you in Afrikaans, how to say good morning in Afrikaans, and how to say goodbye in Afrikaans, along with common Afrikaans words.
