How to LEARN a LANGUAGE - Know When it's a WASTE of TIME
How to learn a language and know when it’s a waste of time. One of the questions I get asked the most is "how to learn languages quickly?" In today's video, I'm going to be talking about how to learn a language and most importantly how to teach yourself a language as polyglots do. I will share language learning tips and language learning strategies for effective language learning and using language. I love sharing language learning techniques especially those that I've found very useful in my own study of Afrikaans and Spanish. I feel it's a great skill to teach yourself rather than to rely on someone else to teach you and so that is what I'm passionate about empowering others to do.
When learning a language, it can be easy to get caught up using learning methods and techniques that we used at school. However, these learning styles are very old-school, and there are much better ways to learn a language out there, you just need to be creative with your study techniques.
Aside from learning Afrikaans and Spanish, I spend my time coaching others on how to learn languages, especially to get people speaking. I help people rid the negative feelings around language learning often left over from our school days and show that it really can be fun if you approach it in the right way for you, there is no one size fits all despite what a lot of educational institutions tell us.
