Converting Triplets to 12/8 Time Without Replaying Parts - Cubase Logical Editor
Converting MIDI from one meter to another can be time consuming and laborious. Recently, a project that required a lot of this inspired me to streamline that workflow using Cubase's Logical Editor, Project Logical Editor, and Macros.
Whether it's a pirate movie or not, you should know this trick. I'll demonstrate how to combine three Cubase features into a single-button time saver. MIDI can effortlessly be changed from being in triplets to being in 8th notes without losing performance, timing, or automation.
Also, note that this trick is shown going from triplet time into 12/8 but it works in reverse too! Just change everything from "Multiply" to "Divide'!
