In Part 1 I covered creating small sounds and loops. In Part 2 I discussed the basics on picking drums, arranging the parts and keeping the MIDI clean and tight while still lively. For Part 3 I'll take you through what I did to mix the drums for this particular piece of music.
This video is a little longer but I’ll show you how to use EQ to carve out space for drums to fit together sonically and use envelope shapers and compression to add intensity and energy.
