Recovered NEF (NIKON RAW) files are corrupt, card already in use again!! Now what?!
Files (NEF, NIKON RAW) were recovered by a 3rd party but turn out to be corrupt. Since card was put back to use we can not retry the recovery. Repair is no option unfortunately, large portions of the RAW data are overwritten. It turned out however that many of the corrupt files contained JPEGs and fragments of JPEGs from previous session. So, for a number of shots from previous session we will be able to extract full resolution JPEGs.
