Today we're looking at Wes Craven's Shocker. After leaving the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise, Wes Craven tried to make lightning strike twice by starting a franchise about a serial killer who's turned into electricity. That's basicaly as cool as someone killing you in your dreams, right?
Even though it has many of Wes Craven's trademark stylings, namely a wisecracking-interdimensional slasher, his campy approach and desperate attempt to ape his own cashcow has alienated even his most devoted fans. Is Shocker running on empty, or does it have the juice?
