They met each other in 2015. Charlotte has Caribbean roots and Bolis Chinese roots. He is the son of artist Kamagurka. And that is worth mentioning.
“Humor connects us,” says the singer, “you have to be able to laugh with yourself and with each other. At the same time, it is a coping mechanism that ensures that we do not become bitter or remain angry.”
The record 'Tropical Dancer' revolves around emancipation through humour. ""Thanks to 'Topical Dancer' I can free myself from all these issues and have fun at the same time,"" says the singer.
Cultural appropriation, misogyny, racism, post-colonialism, and political correctness are not usually themes heard on the dance floor; but Charlotte Adigéry and Bolis Pupul rebel by inviting them in.
