Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree - Level 1 Part 9 Finale
Part 9 and Finale of the DLC Level 1 Journey. Not collecting Scadutree fragments, but the urge is there for completionism at least. I do buy smithing stones as a way of “banking” my runes after bosses. They do sell for a loss, but it’s better than having zero runes because I’m too lazy to pick them back up.
I try to avoid using buffs but well.....
The best way to describe this segment is "Trying everything possible in order to beat Leda and all her Allies". I thought this would be one of the shorter segments, but nope. One of the longest and all because I'm trying literally everything in order to take down Leda & co. You can see maybe the break down happening realising the buffs that are needed, or allies I do need to summon. I wish to find a better way to do this without allies. More of that rant in the Leda vid though.
Became apparent quite fast that I needed the mimic veil to help get past the first group of enemies in Enir Ilim. Though I have seen people yolo it, it just got tedious very quickly. The last leg wasn't too bad.
Then reached Leda and the run began. I first thought a Spinning Strikes setup, but wasn't fast enough or useful for Moore. Then Fingerprint Shield & Shield Crash which saved the day (and also my first bad edit where you see the Ash of War change on the equipment, oops. I was playing around. There goes my attempt at a seamless showcase of all my actions).
After one more attempt at trying (which you can see with the equipment change at the Leda Grace) it was off for more. So time for the Alexander Quest. Totally forgot where I was at with it, which is why the jump to the Radahn Caelid arena. Found my way back on track though. Didn't know I had to kill the Magma Wyrm though, so there's a boss in there.
Then more Leda attempts and off to get some Talismans and farm Bloodboil Aromatics. I totally got lost in the Abyssal Woods to get the ultimately unused Aged One's Exultation. For farming the Bloodboil Aromatics I just show a successful run then just skip it all, otherwise this video would be a few hours longer of just farming. So take it as like a farming montage. I was fortunate to get both the Perfume Bottles when getting the Altus Blooms. I didn't know I needed them for the Aromatic. Which was frustrating when I DID find that out.... And I had no idea which one I already had, which is why the useless revisit to Volcano Manor. And I also got lost trying to find the Caelid one. Didn't know it would be included with the armour set.
Should I have bought the lantern while I was there at the shop? Probably, but after just pushing through it once I felt stubborn lol.
I also went for trying to use Giant Hunt and Spinning Strikes on one weapons with innate bleed. So grabbed the Giant Hunt ash, and Vulgar Militia Saw & Grave Scythe. Ultimately unused as it was too slow. It was all because of Moore and his poise honestly.....
Anyway, then there were more attempts, and then getting the Sacred Relic Sword. I found it to be really good against them. Then went to get the Remembrance back. First time I've almost got trapped under those walking Mausoleums! Thankfully got out in time. Then got Marika's Soreseal and the Two Fingers Heirloom to help with the Faith requirements. Some more Leda attempts and then decided to get the Faith boosting Physick tear. Didn't know exactly where it was so I got a little bit lost!
Then MORE attempts and I realised I needed a bit more of a Faith Boost. Thankfully DLC added Fingerprint Nostrums. Two on the map, then a couple more can be crafted with items in the environment. Super rare to farm those so I didn't. And got an armour piece that added Faith. Not too needed, but was nice.
THEN Leda was down...
Then it was all down to Radahn. More about him in his video. Opening shows the version. Completed this just before the nerf patch.
And finally done. Time to sleep.
