Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree - Level 1 Part 5 Jagged Peak
Part 5 of the DLC Level 1 Journey. Avoiding using buffs, not collecting Scadutree fragments, but the urge is there for completionism at least. I do buy smithing stones as a way of “banking” my runes after bosses. They do sell for a loss, but it’s better than having zero runes because I’m too lazy to pick them back up.
Love these short legs. Got the Map I forgot for the Cerulean Coast and then onwards.
Picked up the (+Somber) Ancient Dragon Smithing Stones along the way, sense they'll be useful maybe and ended up using one right away.
Glad that the Ancient Dragon-Man gave me no issues on the way to the Dragon's Pit, but then his Boss actually ended up taking a bit of effort. I was quite concerned about the bird aggroing, so I tried to sneak around the back, but he caught me. Glad it was easy to deal with.
Run through the Dragon's Pit wasn't too bad. Practiced on a different file. Just the one archer you run past and the final guy in the tunnel were the main worries. That last guy has chipped me before, but luckily he went for an easy to run past move.
Ancient Dragon-Man was an interesting one. I switched to the Commander's Standard earlier as I've found the Halberd poke to be really good for NPC fights. They really just run into it. I don't think this play is fully safe against him though, a few time I would go for what I thought was a safe poke but got jump attacked, but this attempt went well.
You can see my play with equipment here for Bayle. Right now I still don't know if Cleanrot Knight Sword was better than the Sword Lance, but after I got the Sword Lance online I felt I had committed. I had stuffed up with my recording here, so part of it didn't get caught in 4K oops.
