HTA2022 - RMN's FCB
The G2000 build by Gading Marine in a quick turnover time of six months, and the first batch of six Fast Combat Boats was handed over to Royal Malaysian Navy in May 2021. These powerful Hamilton Jet HM 461 waterjet crafts are powered by two MAN V12 diesel engines and centre gravity gives them outstanding manoeuvrability. At the Armada Open day, 1021 of the FCB debuted with a new colour scheme, similar to that of the navy's AW-139 HOM.
Batch two of 13 slightly different in the design of this FCB is currently being built in the same yard. The kneel laying of this batch started in July 2022 with the first staggered delivery hopefully before LIMA'23. Among the changes in the new batch of FCB is it designed to accommodate the PASKAL RHIB, more powerful engines and so forth. The government will only install RCWS on the new batch of the FCB.
