Home Renovation Vlog - Weeks 1 & 2 - Deep Cleaning & Demolition

♡Hey Everyone! This is what we’ve done so far with our home renovations! We’ve made the goal to have the first floor completely redone by the end of this year so that we can hold some sort of home-warming party for our extended family. We’ve been working really hard to make good progress these first few weeks. It’s been difficult because we really only have small pockets of time to work on our house between our other commitments like jobs, sports, family time, etc. I am trying to continually remind myself that although we do have a goal of when we’d like the first floor areas to be finished, this is a journey that should be fun and a time to learn. I’m sure we will look back on these memories with fondness and I don’t want to rush or wish these days to go by faster.
The next steps for our project is to pick out and order floors, countertops and begin sanding down the cabinets so that we can spray them with paint! We also will need to have a drywall person come in soon to patch up our walls and rebuild the walls in the dining room. There is still so much to be done but we are having a ton of fun and we are learning so much as we go!

This channel was created simply for fun. As a twenty-something girl, fear of failure holds many people like me back from trying new things. I find myself day dreaming about things I'd like to do, but the thought of failing always makes my heart sink. Society has lead us to believe that failing at something is the end of the world, and I'd like to believe that it's actually just the beginning of a world where failure is nothing more than a lesson learned. I am going to practice living life unapologetically and not overthinking every little thing. I want to free myself from all of the expectations that I feel to have it all together.

Please note that this is not an instructional channel, I have no clue what I'm doing and honestly, I think there is beauty in that. This channel is about growth and learning and stumbling into adulthood without the pressure of perfection.
