Explaining the ROLE of the F-4G WILD WEASEL V
The Wild Weasel missions came about due to the growing threat of SAMs found during the Vietnam War. Arguably the best Wild Weasel craft was the F-4G, as it was specifically modified for the role and deemed to be 30 years ahead of any other competitor. Being retired in 1995 and handing the Weasel torch to the F-16C, the F-4Gs served in the Gulf War with incredible effectivness. This is the story of the Wild Weasel V.
