This Jet SANK Hussein's personal YACHT
The overlooked S-3B played a vital role in the successes of US Navy strikes into Iraq during Operation Enduring Freedom. The Lockheed S-3B 'Viking' was beginning to be phased out, however they filled the role of the carrier's only mid air refueller, until the Super Hornets came in full swing. The S-3B scored the first hit with a Laser Guided Maverick, on Saddam Hussein's personal Yacht.
