The last time I tried to make a diy alcohol stove like this (this version is usually called the cat food can stove) it just did not work!
Now I fixed it just by using a much smaller can than last time. The decreased volume of the can obviously allowed generate more pressure so the fire jets came out of the wholes this time.
Unfortunately I had no windscreen so boiling did not work that well.
