This is it—my final day in Bangladesh. To end this incredible journey, my friend Mazhar @mazharpictures and I decided to skip the crowded tourist spots and head deep into the Marine Drive to find the secret side of Cox's Bazar.
From hidden waterfalls to beaches filled with red crabs and traditional wooden "Sampan" boats, we explored the raw, untouched beauty of the Bay of Bengal. This is the Bangladesh that often goes unseen by the rest of the world.
📍 Highlights of the Marine Drive Adventure:
Himchari & Beyond: We started our day with a hike up Himchari Hill for a panoramic view of the ocean, followed by a visit to the local waterfalls.
The Secret Beaches: We drove down the scenic Marine Drive to find Pathortek (Rock Beach) and the stunning Red Crab Beach. The colors of the sand and rocks here are unlike anything I've seen.
Sampan Culture: We met the traditional local fishermen at Sampan Beach. I tried to get onto one of their iconic wooden boats, but they were busy bringing in the day's catch!
The Zero Point Mystery: We made it all the way to the Zero Point of the Marine Drive. Things got a bit intense and "spooky" for a moment, leading us to head back toward the city.
A Global Connection: On our way back, we stopped at a fancy beachside café and met a group of wonderful people visiting from Kashmir. Their hospitality and warm welcome made for a beautiful final lunch.
