Exploring the Vendée by campervan: between wild beaches and hidden landscapes
In this new episode of my series “12 Months / 12 Regions of France by Van,” I continue my road trip in the Vendée region, exploring wild beaches, hidden heritage sites, and peaceful nature. Always accompanied by my trusty Volkswagen Transporter T4 and my dog, I invite you to discover incredible vanlife destinations.
First stop: the Atlantic coast to explore Sauveterre beach, a still unspoiled spot, perfect for a break by the ocean. Next, I make a stop in Les Sables d’Olonne to visit one of the town’s most unusual places: Île Penotte, a district decorated with shell mosaics. Finally, I leave the coast to venture inland and spend the night by Lake Jaunay, an ideal spot for camping in the heart of nature.
